Praxair Acquires CSF Technology
Praxair, Inc. (NYSE:PX) announced today it has purchased Logistic Supply Company, LLC and its wholly owned subsidiary CSF Technology, LLC in an effort to expand its product offering to the semiconductor market. The company will do business as "CSF Technology, a Praxair Company." The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
CSF Technology is one of the largest distributors of consumable maintenance and repair parts to semiconductor fabricators (fabs) in the United States with expanding operations in Europe. It is an industry leader in providing advanced inventory management services for fab support consumable parts -- including procurement, on-site inventory management, just-in-time delivery, advisory engineering services, OEM component kit assembly and electronics data interchange to semiconductor fabs.
"CSF's expertise in spare parts and supply-chain management services, in conjunction with our Point OneSM services, will enable our customers to maintain their competitive edge in the semiconductor market," said Frank Crespo, global vice president of Praxair's Semiconductor Materials Business. "This acquisition allows Praxair to expand and diversify our product and services offering to include key components such as spare parts and inventory management services to our customers."
