Buyers Can Name Their Own Price On Hundreds of Surplus Items Available Online

Sigma-Aldrich (Nasdaq:SIAL) has launched an online bidding site which offers hundreds of surplus inventory items at significant savings. The "Surplus Solutions" website (sigma-aldrich.com/surplus_solutions) enables developmental chemists and procurement personnel to view a full listing of over 900 high-quality Sigma-Aldrich surplus inventory items. The visitor can then name their own price for any item. Unlike online chemical "auction" sites, there is no minimum bid and all product will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, there is no waiting for the auction to close. The constant rotation of excess inventory ensures the product offering will change frequently.
