Perstorp Formox raises catalyst price

06-Jul-2005

Perstorp Formox, the world-leading supplier of formaldehyde technology and catalysts, is introducing a surcharge on the company's molybdenum catalyst prices.

The surcharge, in the range EUR 7-8 per kilo of catalyst, is effective July 1st.

"This surcharge is necessitated by the current high price of molybdenum on the world market," explains Mikael Ekblad, General Manager of Perstorp Formox. "It will only apply to the amount of virgin molybdenum that must be added after returned spent catalyst has been reprocessed. And since most of our clients already return their molybdenum to us for environmentally safe recovery, they will not be greatly affected."
