New organizational structure in the Henkel Group
Industrial Adhesives, Engineering Adhesives and Surface Technologies will also be regrouped in a new business sector - "Henkel Technologies". This business sector will be headed by Guido De Keersmaecker, currently Executive Vice President Adhesives. The consolidation of all industrial systems and service businesses in one business sector will create synergistic effects within the Company and enable Henkel to serve the markets in a more focused way.
Dr. Roland Schulz, Executive Vice President Industrial and Institutional Hygiene/Surface Technologies/Human Resources, will retire on December 31, 2001 after 30 years of outstanding service for the Company, thereof 11 years at the Management Board. Effective January 1, 2002, Knut Weinke will become new Executive Vice President. He will be responsible for Human Resources in the Management Board, alongside his current Logistics function.
