PerkinElmer Launches Breakthrough FT-IR Imaging System
Spectrum Spotlight sets new standards for sensitivity, speed and flexibility making it ideal for analytical services and surface science labs who wish to complement their existing imaging techniques, such as Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), with a source of high-quality molecular information. The patented Duet detector technology overcomes the traditional limitations of older FT-IR imaging systems by eliminating the need for difficult, time-consuming step-scan data collection. Operating over a wider wavelength range, the Duet detector provides state-of-the-art FT-IR microscopy capabilities and faster imaging which makes it applicable to an extended range of applications.
The Spectrum Spotlight system also includes an integrated suite of powerful software tools that enable small differences in chemical content to be easily identified, providing vital information about defects, impurities and composition from all sample types.
