Christophe Villain named CEO of CECA - Christophe de Saint Louvent CEO of Altuglas

Christophe Villain has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of CECA, Arkema's specialty chemicals subsidiary. Born in 1961, Christophe Villain is a graduate of the Paris Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie.

He began his professional career with Elf Atochem in 1987 as Polypropylene Development Engineer within the Appryl subsidiary. In 1990, he joined General Electric Plastics to head marketing in the automobile sector. In 1996, he became Head of Elf Atochem's Polystyrene Department, and in 2001 Head of Atofina's global Bleaching Department. In July 2003, he was appointed Group President of Arkema's Urea Formaldehyde Resins Business Unit.

Christophe de Saint Louvent has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Altuglas International, an Arkema subsidiary. A graduate of Ponts et Chaussées and ESSEC, 50 year old Christophe de Saint Louvent joined the Elf Aquitaine Group in 1982, where he held a number of operational positions in the Refining Distribution branch.

In 1993, following a national posting at Sicof's Commercial and Marketing Department, he joined Bostik, a world Adhesives major, as Director of Strategy and International Development. In 1998, he became Managing Director Europe for Sartomer, the world's number two in Photocure Resins. In July 2003, he became Managing Director of CECA, where he focused on developing a competitive Specialty Chemicals business close to its customers.
