BASF launches innovation podcast
BASF podcast with monthly and weekly program
"We want to use the new podcast medium to make BASF's innovations audible too", says Christian Schubert, head of Corporate Communications at BASF Group. "We want to tell the public about the exciting topics coming out of our research and development labs - and make them entertaining too." The two services have a different format and their topics are targeted at different user groups.
The audio magazine "Chemistry of Innovations" presents in detail new developments and new technologies from BASF's research activities. The first episode looks at the construction of energy saving homes that help to combat climate change. In an easy-to-understand, informative and entertaining way, the podcasts describe how chemistry helps to shape our future. Each episode is around ten minutes long and is aimed at a scientifically interested, broad public.
In short clips, "The Chemical Reporter" provides answers to questions about chemistry in our everyday lives. The series kicks off with the question "what makes a non-iron shirt wrinkle free?". Listeners can also ask questions via a dedicated email address, which will be answered during the series.
