Ciba Specialty Chemicals announces global price increase for lubricant additives
Increase due to rising energy, raw materials and logistics costs

Effective immediately or as contracts will allow, Ciba Specialty Chemicals will increase prices on lubricant additives globally. The magnitude of the increase will in most cases range between 3 to 7 percent. These products are sold into lubricant applications around the world primarily under the trade names Ciba® IRGANOX®, IRGALUBE®, IRGACOR®, IRGAMET® and IRGAFOS®.
"The price increase is necessary to address the continued escalation of energy, raw material and logistic costs. Ciba will at the same time continue to identify opportunities to control costs and minimize the impact on our customers," said Thomas Engelhardt, head of Ciba's global lubricant additive business.
