High Current Potentiostat/Galvanostat by Kolibrik - PTC-05100EW

With a total of four current ranges from the mA range (500 mA / 5 A / 20 A / 100 A) up to the respective maximum current and an accuracy of 0.1%, the PTC-05100EW system enables currents up to a maximum of ± 100 A.

Commercial single battery cells as well as fuel cells, redox flow batteries, electrolysers and single cells from other energy storage and conversion concepts, as well as cell stacks, can be characterised within the available potential window of ± 5 V.

Accuracy Contour Plot (ACP) and Precision Contour Plot in the product brochure provide a detailed insight into the EIS performance of the system using the available frequency range from 1 mHz to a maximum of 100 kHz down to the µΩ range.

The limiting performance of power cables at high-frequency alternating currents due to the so-called skin effect is taken into account and optimised with the lowest possible inductance.

3-electrode or 5-electrode cell types, including current and voltage measurements on devices under test (DUT) having an embedded reference electrode, in order to examine both half-cells using impedance spectrometry, are easily possible using the double electrometer meaning probe 1 and probe 2 inputs respectively.

The PTC system can be operated as a stand-alone unit or in a 19" rack. At ±5 V and ±100 A, the system operates with water cooling to enable power dissipation of 1 kW.

Software operation via PTC Server enables flexible integration via either Python or LabView as well as custom scripting of experiment sequences either within Artemis or the mentioned third party software interfaces.
