RCT Reichelt Chemietechnik
Chemical-Resistant NBR O-Rings for Industry and Laboratory - Shore Hardness 70°
RCT Reichelt Chemietechnik GmbH + Co.
Acrylonitrile-Butadiene Rubber (NBR) O-rings provide reliable sealing solutions for demanding industrial and laboratory analytical applications. These peroxide-crosslinked, sulfur-free sealing elements are characterized by their Shore hardness A of 70° according to DIN 53505 and ensure secure sealing at operating temperatures from -20°C to +100°C.
The NBR sealing rings meet strict quality standards for food applications through BfR and FDA compliance as well as the requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia. For drinking water applications, they comply with DVWG specifications and KTW recommendations. These certifications enable safe use in pharmaceutical, food processing, and drinking water technology processes.
NBR O-rings show particular chemical resistance to concentrated acids such as nitric acid and formic acid as well as oxidizing media such as peracetic acid. They also resist aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, fuels, animal and vegetable oils, and silicones. These properties make them compact, self-acting, and double-acting sealing elements.
Typical applications include process engineering processes in the pharmaceutical industry, chemical materials and process engineering, container construction including IBC containers, as well as sealing of stationary machine parts against liquid and gaseous media in mechanical engineering.
