PVDF Tubing and Pipes for Chemical Process Engineering and Pharmaceutical Applications

RCT Reichelt Chemietechnik GmbH + Co.

Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) tubing and pipes offer exceptional chemical resistance and mechanical stability for demanding applications in process engineering, pharmaceutical industry, and chemical process technology. This fluoropolymer, also known as Kynar®, is characterized by its high purity, UV resistance, and dimensional stability.

Technical Properties and Performance Features:
PVDF tubing is available in nominal diameters from 2 to 20 mm and enables maximum operating pressures between 23 and 100 bar, depending on the tubing dimension. The material exhibits flexible properties up to a nominal diameter of 10 mm and is classified as rigid from 30 mm onwards. The working temperature range extends from -40°C to +115°C, creating versatile application possibilities.

Product Variants for Specific Applications:

  • PVDF Chemical Tubing: For aggressive media and corrosive chemicals
  • PVDF Pressure Pipe: Smooth inner and outer surface, max. 16 bar at +20°C
  • PVDF Spiral Tubing: Flexible connections in nominal diameters 4-6 mm, working lengths 2.5-6 m
  • PVDF Corrugated Tubing: For mechanical engineering and electrical engineering, bending radii 32-40 mm

Quality and Certifications:
All PVDF products are FDA-compliant and BfR-compliant, confirming their physiological safety. The spiral tubing meets fire class UL 94 V-0. The translucent material is resistant to UV and gamma radiation and shows no tendency for solid deposits.

Special Heat Shrink Tubing Technology:
PVDF heat shrink tubing offers a shrink ratio of 2:1 and is particularly suitable for insulation of heating elements in electrical engineering and microelectronics. They are non-meltable, self-extinguishing, and exhibit high dielectric strength.

PVDF tubing and pipes and other products, such as PVDF quick-disconnect couplings, are available directly in the online shop of RCT Reichelt Chemietechnik. The range of RCT Reichelt Chemietechnik offers over 80,000 different products, which are used among others in mechanical engineering, chemical technology, process engineering as well as medical technology.
