Xsample

Anton Paar's Xsample series offers automated solutions for the measurement of density and refractive index that precisely adapt to different laboratory requirements - from simple single sample handling to fully automated high-throughput analysis. With four new models (Xsample 3100, 3200, 5100 and 5200), Anton Paar is expanding its proven portfolio with more intelligent and flexible automation solutions for samples with viscosities up to 1,000 mPa·s.

Automation for every workflow

As an entry-level solution, the Xsample 3100 offers fully automated sample filling using an integrated peristaltic pump. The "place and start" principle enables user-independent workflows and consistent results - ideal for smaller laboratories with occasional sample throughput.

The Xsample 3200 adds powerful cleaning functions to single sample automation. Internal and external needle cleaning and the connection of up to three solvents ensure high measurement integrity even with challenging samples and reliably prevent cross-contamination.

High-throughput solutions for maximum efficiency

For laboratories with medium to high sample volumes, the Xsample 5100 automates every step from sample identification to cell rinsing. With an optional barcode reader and customizable magazines (57 or 32 positions), the system enables up to 60 samples per hour with minimal manual effort.

The flagship of the new generation, Xsample 5200, sets new standards in speed and precision: up to 35 % faster measuring cycles than comparable systems thanks to optimized filling, cleaning and drying routines. Automatic sample recognition via 1D/2D barcode, multiple solvent rinsing with air packets and a new magazine visualization ensure contamination-free, rule-compliant measurements in high-throughput environments.

Extended application options

The overall portfolio includes specialized solutions for a wide range of requirements: The Xsample 530 offers outstanding cleaning performance with up to three rinsing solutions for demanding sample properties. For highly viscous materials, the heated Xsample 631 enables measurements at up to 95 °C with 36 heated sample positions and full ASTM compliance.

All Xsample systems can be seamlessly integrated with Anton Paar measuring instruments and the AP Connect laboratory process system. This combination of instrument and data automation enables end-to-end workflows from sample acquisition to compliant digital reporting - for maximum productivity, data integrity and transparency in networked laboratories in the beverage, pharmaceutical and petrochemical industries.
