Flexible MIMS solutions for laboratory, process monitoring and field applications

Membrane Inlet Mass Spectrometry enables direct, near real-time analysis of dissolved gases and volatile compounds in water. The HPR-40 MIMS is particularly well suited to groundwater monitoring, environmental research, denitrification studies, and the analysis of wastewater, sludge and soil core samples. VOCs and other environmentally significant gases can also be measured with high sensitivity. Depending on the species, detection limits down to the ppt range are possible. The brochure describes the HPR-40 MIMS as a system for the direct analysis of dissolved gases and volatile compounds, with applications including groundwater studies, VOC detection, environmental research, and wastewater, sludge and soil core analysis.

A range of inlet options allows the system to be adapted to different sample types and workflows. Available options include solutions for static liquid samples, continuous environmental water analysis, low sample volumes and challenging matrices. This makes the HPR-40 MIMS suitable for both laboratory use and process monitoring applications. For measurements directly in the field, the portable pQA provides an additional option for field deployment. Its relevance to groundwater analysis is further underlined by the fact that the HPR-40 MIMS has been incorporated into a DAkkS-accredited groundwater analysis method in Germany for the determination of nitrogen excess by N2/Ar measurement. The brochure also highlights continuous in-situ analysis of dissolved gases in water and describes multiple inlet options for different sample and application requirements.
