Our innovative patented system design combines high-temperature fuel cells (SOFCs) with subsequent catalytic methanation and CO2 separation of the exhaust gas, providing the missing link for a successful energy transition:

• Electrical efficiencies ≥ 80% - Disrupting the existing biogas market by doubling the electricity production compared to conventional combustion-based systems, enabling more than 10% of total power demand/ 20 million households in Germany to be supplied with base-load capable and controllable bionenergy

• Reversible operation - Providing balancing energy to the fluctuating electricity supply from wind and PV, with switching times ≤1min between fuel cell/generation and electrolysis/storage mode

• Long term energy storage - Offering profitable power-to-gas operation with maximum flexibility by green hydrogen or biomethane generation, while massively reducing infrastructure and investment costs using the existing gas grid for storage and tranport

• Negative CO2-Balance - Achieving mitigation targets by utilization or storage (CCU/CCS) of up to 20 million tons CO2 per year, resembling ~2.5% of the total emissions in Germany

• Containerized - Easy scalable plant size to customer-specific requirements due to 100kW standard modules

• Plug & Play - Fully automated and itelligent control system reduces maintenance requirements and enables instant upgrade of existing biogas plants
