Rheodyne Introduces TitanEX-TM Miniature, Low-Pressure Multi-Position Fluidic Platform

Munich, Germany – Rheodyne, L.P. (Rohnert Park, CA) introduced today at analytica 2002 TitanEX, a new series of palm size, low-pressure OEM platform. The rugged design of these platforms is intended for ultra-high duty cycle applications. Rheodyne’s new TitanEX, provides manufacturers and with a market-leading value based upon high performance at a very low price. The electrically actuated TitanEX family includes a 6-Position, 7-Port, fluid switching platform, as well as 2-Position, 6-Port configuration, and a 2-Position Double 3-Way platform. They are designed for pressures up to 125 psi and incorporates ceramic-on-ceramic wear surfaces for an exceptionally long service life. Alternative wear surfaces and additional port configurations will soon be added to the series to greatly expand the possible applications of the platform. Customized versions of the platform will give manufacturers the performance they require. Literally palm size, Rheodyne’s TitanEX miniature switching platform will fit anywhere and addresses the market’s demand for more compact fluid management systems. Rheodyne’s new low-pressure platform incorporates a unique (patent pending) multi-lumen connection system that eliminates the need for individual fittings. The Rheodyne multi-lumen connection system establishes tube connections by simply pushing tubes into the assembly and turning a spanner nut to lock them into place. This design eliminates the typical requirement of either flaring the end of the tubing and/or use of individual combinations of nuts and ferrules attached to the tubing and threaded into the valve ports. An integrated package including valve and stepper motor and valve controller board is available to speed OEM applications to market.
