Henkel Ltd, Hatfield,
United Kingdom, and Breconcherry Ltd, Ledbury,
United Kingdom, have entered into an agreement on the sale of Henkel's Tank Cleaning Equipment business in the United Kingdom.
Hatfield/Ledbury- The divested business came to
Henkel with the acquisition of
Atofina, the chemical branch of TotalFinaElf, Paris,
France, in spring 2001 by Henkel Surface Technologies and has
sales of about 0.5 million euros per year mostly to customers in Europe and
Japan. It produces and markets a range of equipment for the in-place cleaning of
mixing and
storage vessels that is sold mainly to the brewing,
food and
road transport industries.
The Henkel Group has concentrated its three systems businesses - Henkel Industrial
adhesives and
sealants, Loctite Engineering Adhesives and Henkel Surface Technologies - under the umbrella of the Henkel Technologies business sector.
