Bayer MaterialScience increases capacity in China for aliphatic coatings raw materials

Bayer MaterialScience has announced a capacity expansion of Desmodur® N aliphatic coatings raw materials at the Bayer integrated site in Caojing, near Shanghai in China.
The plant has increased the capacity of Desmodur® N to 27,000 tpa to meet the growing demand in Asia, particularly China, in the automotive, general industrial and plastics market. The company has been producing Desmodur® N coatings raw materials at Caojing since April 2003 at a facility which had an initial capacity of 11,500 tpa.
