EDL Anlagenbau Gesellschaft mbH expands the management board: alongside Dr. Michael Haid and Wolfgang Kursch there is now Daniel Oryan, a plant engineering expert. Wolfgang Kursch will go into well-deserved retirement at the end of February 2023.
Daniel Oryan was officially appointed to the management team of the Leipzig-based company on August 15th. As from November, he will take over the duties of Wolfgang Kursch, who will take on special tasks as managing director until his retirement at the end of February 2023. With this rejuvenation process in the top management, EDL will continue the future-oriented development of the last few years.
After studying process engineering, Daniel Oryan began his professional career at Uhde in Dortmund. He then worked in various specialist and managerial positions for Sabic and Shell in the Rhineland refineries.
Most recently, he was Technical Manager at H&R for the Salzbergen refinery site.
“We are pleased to welcome Daniel Oryan to the management board, who will succeed our esteemed Mr. Kursch. His wealth of experience and expert knowledge mean that our partners and customers can continue to rely on our professional competence, innovative strength and high quality performance," says Dr. Michael Haid, Chief Executive Officer of EDL.
Daniel Oryan: “EDL is innovative and, with its green technologies, makes an important contribution to the transformation of the industry against the background of the energy transition. I am highly motivated to significantly shape and successfully advance the further development of the company together with Dr. Michael Haid.”
