WIKA strengthens management team with Axel Schwerdtfeger
Process Solutions company division under new leadership

With Axel Schwerdtfeger, the WIKA Group has recruited an experienced leader and expert from the industry. He has been appointed as Executive Vice President of the Process Solutions company division, effective 1 October. As a member of the Management Board, he will also contribute significantly to shaping and executing the global business strategy of the measurement technology manufacturer.
Axel Schwerdtfeger will focus on the strategic development of the company division’s product and service portfolio, including that of its affiliated subsidiaries. His priorities also include delivering innovative solutions with high added value for customers and driving continuous optimisation of business processes.

Prior to joining WIKA, Axel Schwerdtfeger served as CTO and member of the Executive Board at HAWE Hydraulik SE, a Munich-based manufacturer of mechatronic and hydraulic components and systems. Over 20 years, he held various roles at the international family-owned company with global subsidiaries, including a two-year tenure as COO of its branch in Shanghai, China. He holds a degree in industrial engineering.
