Air Liquide group acquires 62% of ARIA Technologies

13-Feb-2001

ARIA Technologies is France’s leading specialist of numerical simulation of atmospheric pollutant dispersion. Its software is used by such customers as ADEME, the national energy use & development agency, or AIRPARIF and also numerous manufacturers.

With ARIA Technologies, Air Liquide will be able to propose complete environmental solutions, particularly for manufacturers. These solutions include such services as numerical simulation of pollutant dispersion in industrial plants or enclosures, and the modeling of gas emissions and their impact on health.

With this acquisition, Air Liquide is taking the first step to building a range of complementary services to help its customers address environmental risks, while supporting ARIA Technologies in its own business.

In the words of Alain Joly, Air Liquide’s Chairman: "This first investment in an environmental services company shows Air Liquide’s commitment to play an active role in finding sustainable growth solutions that protect people and the environment. This acquisition is also in line with our strategy of continuously providing more high value-added services to our customers in industry and healthcare".
