DKSH established new core position to strengthen key client relationships

22-Aug-2011 - Switzerland

DKSH’s Business Unit Performance Materials, a leading distributor of specialty chemicals and food ingredients, has appointed Cori Diaz as Global Head Key Client Management. In this newly created global function, Diaz’s focus is on strategic business and relationship development with current and potential key clients, such as major chemical companies that DKSH represents in the market. Together with a team of Key Client Managers, she is in charge of defining the strategic direction, developing the measures, and ensuring the implementation of strategies to achieve excellence in managing relationships with key clients.

DKSH’s chemical distribution business has progressed tremendously over the past years, both in terms of delivering strong sales results and from the perspective of delivering new and improved services. The positive financial performance and the increase in business partner satisfaction are results of the diligent implementation of DKSH’s strategy for growth. To consolidate Business Unit Performance Materials’ position as the partner of choice for chemical distribution, this new function serves to solidify and deepen relationships with key clients.

“To enable our continued success and to strengthen the global Management Team of our Business Unit, the establishment of this new core function is the logical next step. We are looking forward to further developing and maintaining the positive personal contact with major decision makers, and contributing to the long-term success of our business partners. A major task for this position is ensuring that our clients can grow their business by leveraging on DKSH’s blanket coverage across Asia,” explained Mario Preissler, Head Business Unit Performance Materials.

Diaz brings over 20 years of experience in the specialty chemicals industry. Before joining DKSH, she worked for Clariant, where she held various management positions in Switzerland, Brazil, and Venezuela. A Venezuelan citizen, Diaz holds a degree in international business with a focus on procurement and supply chain management.
