Chevron appoints New Chief Procurement Officer

Chevron Corporation announced that Maria Lindenberg was appointed chief procurement officer, effective Jan. 1, 2013. Lindenberg succeeds Leo Lonergan, who will retire from the company Feb. 1, 2013, after 36 years of distinguished service.
Lindenberg, who most recently was general manager of supply chain management for Chevron's Southern Africa Strategic Business Unit, will oversee Chevron's enterprisewide supply chain management activities. She will reside in Houston, Texas.
Lindenberg joined Chevron in 2007 as vice president, global downstream procurement. She then moved to general manager, contracting and procurement for Chevron's Project Resources Company, and assumed her most recent assignment, based in Luanda, Angola, in 2011.
