Up until recently, the OQEMA Group was represented in Switzerland with a branch in Stansstad on the banks of Lake Lucerne, which primarily promoted contract business around the globe. With the new branch in Basel-Landschaft, this business will be complemented by that of a traditional distributor.
Dr Thomas Heinrich, Managing Director of OQEMA AG Switzerland: ‘With its new location, the Group is expanding and strengthening its presence in the regional market and filling a network gap in central Europe.’
The OQEMA Group sees this as an important step in promoting growth in its key markets. Important synergies with OQEMA’s existing suppliers and customers are also being exploited, thus promoting company development in Switzerland.
The OQEMA AG Switzerland product portfolio comprises the entire inorganic and organic product range and is well represented particularly in the area of specialities. The new locations with offices and storage capacities are strategically located in close proximity to customers and nearby growth markets.
