Following its successful rebranding to Qlar in May 2024, the bulk material specialist formerly known as Schenck Process will officially return to the North American market from September 1, 2025. Qlar’s renewed focus empowers key industries – including cement, steel, chemicals, performance materials, rail and food – by offering both established expertise and a new generation of digitally enabled solutions. Existing customers in North America with installed Schenck Process systems can now benefit from comprehensive aftermarket, spare parts, and maintenance services, alongside new offerings designed to address today’s complex industrial challenges.
In September 2023, Schenck Process completed the sale of its Food & Performance Materials (FPM) business to Hillenbrand, Inc. (NYSE: HI). This initiated a brief pause from North America, during which the company focused on evolving its vision and brand. Now, the company returns as Qlar, bringing together the trusted engineering heritage of Schenck Process with a new brand promise focused on delivering innovative, tailored solutions to the market.
With this market re-entry, Qlar not only reaffirms its identity as a partner that customers have relied on for decades but an expanded commitment to core sectors: cement, steel, mining, chemicals, performance materials, rail and food. By integrating digitalization and advanced process expertise, Qlar will prioritize reliability, efficiency, and close customer collaboration to meet the region’s evolving industrial landscape.
“Our return as Qlar is more than a relaunch. It’s a new chapter built on both our legacy and a clear commitment to advancing sustainability and circularity in North American industry,” says Manfred Bruckner, Chief Sales Officer at Qlar. “We are dedicated to empowering sectors like cement, steel, battery, chemicals, plastics, and rail with proven technology and fresh thinking that drive reliability, efficiency, and responsible resource use. We look forward to partnering with both longstanding and new customers to create lasting value and help realize a more sustainable industrial future.”
Qlar is duly authorized to offer its comprehensive range of solutions in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. The company's product portfolio includes advanced solutions for bulk material handling, process automation, digital monitoring, and aftermarket services as well as specialized systems for the rail sector.
As a first step in reconnecting with the market, Qlar will be present at the AMI Plastics World Expo in Cleveland, Ohio, from November 12 to 13, 2025. This marks the company’s first official event following its re-entry, offering industry stakeholders an opportunity to meet the Qlar team, see the latest solutions, and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
