Eastman Increases Prices for Unsaturated Polyester and Vinyl Ester Resins

28-Jan-2003

Eastman Chemical Company announced a price increase of $0.04 to $0.05 per pound for all unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins. The increases apply to all shipments delivered on or after February 10, 2003.

The company reports that this increase is due to continued rising costs of feedstock raw materials, including crude oil, natural gas, benzene and ethylene.

Eastman's Composite Polymers Business produces a broad line of unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl ester resins for use in reinforced composites and casting manufacturing. These customized products are formulated for a variety of markets, including automotive, aerospace, construction, corrosion, consumer, infrastructure, marine, tub/shower, cured-in-place piping and many others.
