MITSUBISHI INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION SELECTS ONECHEM E-COMMERCE PLATFORM

09-Apr-2001
The chemicals Division of Mitsubishi International Corporation (MIC), a wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary of Japan's Mitsubishi Corporation, one of the world's premier global trading and investment companies, has chosen OneChem Ltd.'s solution to provide an e-commerce platform for MIC's e-business initiatives. Mitsubishi International will integrate OneChem's product into its U.S. R/3 SAP system and anticipates implementation of an e-commerce solution using the OneChem e-hub in June of this year. "Selecting OneChem's technology will enable Mitsubishi International Corporation to sell our commodity chemical products through a privately branded web site, providing product information, order processing and tracking, invoicing and other critical information to our customers across the Internet," said MIC's Chemicals Group Project and Planning Division Manager, Daisuke Soejima. "This reinforces our commitment to increasing customer satisfaction and developing greater efficiencies on behalf of our clients by providing them with the ability to create, confirm and change purchase orders on-line, with a direct, 24/7 connection to our internal systems." "Adding Mitsubishi to our growing list of Tier 1 customers further enhances the value of our offering, by enabling connectivity to important members of the chemical industry through the OneChem e-hub," said OneChem President Jay Starkman. "Mitsubishi's selection of OneChem's products once again validates our value proposition as the best fit for the chemical industry and the most cost effective way to implement an e-commerce strategy."
