Air Liquide America L.P. Announces Increased Capacity in Florida

13-Jun-2003
Air Liquide America L.P. announced today its plans to increase capacity to meet the growing demand for gaseous and liquid nitrogen, and for liquid oxygen in Florida by building a new Air Separation Unit (ASU) at its Merritt Island, Florida facility. In conjunction with Air Liquide America's existing production facility near Orlando, the Merritt Island addition makes the company a significant player in the state of Florida. The ASU will produce gaseous nitrogen for pipeline delivery to the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, as well as liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen to meet the growing demand for these products in Florida. "This expansion will allow Air Liquide America to satisfy the rapidly growing demand for oxygen in healthcare, environmental, and manufacturing applications in Florida," said Woody Garmon, senior vice president. "The additional nitrogen production capacity will support the growth in demand of the space industry in and around the Kennedy Space Center."
