Dow Corning Launches New Antifoam Emulsion with Superior Dilution Stability Properties

27-Aug-2003

Responding to industry needs, Dow Corning has developed a general purpose antifoam emulsion that provides long-lasting defoaming effects while offering superior dilution stability with a wide variety of water types. Due to its stability, Dow Corning® DSP can be used as both a process aid and formulation aid and exhibits compatibility with most formulations. The product is being introduced globally and is recommended for aqueous systems.

"This product is a ready-to-use solution for our customers that offers significant benefits over other antifoams," said Dow Corning Marketing Specialist Arturo Cuellar. "With Dow Corning® DSP, customers will not need to shake the product before using it or need to add a thickener to obtain a dilution-stable product, such as recommended by other process aid suppliers."

Dow Corning® DSP complies with key chemical control laws and regulations, including TSCA, EINECS, MITI-ENCS, and is exempt from tolerance at 40 CFR 180.1001.

Due to its persistent antifoaming effect, Dow Corning® DSP also reduces the amount of active material needed to provide foam control in different processes and on customers' formulations. Additionally, Dow Corning® DSP provides foam control under extreme pH conditions and the superior dilution stability results in final homogenous products.
