DuPont Titanium Technologies Announces Price Increase for Titanium Dioxide Products

DuPont Titanium Technologies announced a price increase for all DuPont(TM) Ti-Pure(R) titanium dioxide grades sold in North America.

Effective Oct. 1, 2003, or, as permitted by contract, U.S. prices for Ti- Pure(R) will increase by 6 cents per pound for coatings, plastics, specialty, and laminate grades. Canada prices for these Ti-Pure(R) grades will increase by 8 cents per pound ($C).

This price increase is based on current improving economic conditions and strong leading Ti02 indicators, which support near-term U.S. economic recovery leading recovery worldwide.

Other regional increases, including specifics with regard to grades and regions, will be handled directly within the local regions.
