AIR PRODUCTS LAUNCHES GLOBAL EQUIPMENT SHOWCASE SITE

Air Products (NYSE:APD) has launched its global Equipment Showcase Site, an interactive customer Web site that conveniently provides information on major equipment products.

The Equipment Showcase Site is the ninth business-centric site Air Products has launched since 2001, and the only one exclusively dedicated to the company's worldwide equipment and service offerings. Located at http://www.airproducts.com/equipment , the new Web site will feature tools such as a product identifier and interactive product simulation diagrams, which illustrate the functionality behind specific equipment product lines.

Current estimates indicate that Air Products creates value in the range of $4 for every $1 spent on e-business applications-and Showcase Sites, which now include the Equipment Showcase Site, are a significant part of that portfolio. Over 9,000 customers visit the showcase sites every month, and approximately 85 percent of recent Showcase Site survey participants said the Web pages are intuitive and easy-to-use. Furthermore, ninety percent of visitors return to our Showcase Sites frequently to conveniently find information on products and services.

"This Equipment Showcase Site is no different. We see it as delivering value to our customers who have a growing need for reliable product information and data. The site will enable customers to easily select the optimum product for their specific application."

The Equipment Showcase Site provides a menu of choices to our customers including traditional materials like product data sheets, access to the company's MSDS library, a searchable catalogue of product offerings, and links to valuable resources such as a technical literature library and relevant safety Web pages. Enhancements will also be phased in; for example, customers will soon have the ability to request budgetary quotes on line.

Every Showcase Site is segmented into regional, global markets through which customers can gain valuable technical insight from our business teams in easy-to-understand formats. The pages may also contain industry new and developments, as well as advice and expertise from Air Products employees regarding industry and business trends.
