Rohm and Haas Company Receives Highest Corporate Governance Rating

Rohm and Haas Company has received the highest rating for best corporate governance practices with a select number of other organizations chosen from among 3,220 global companies by Governance Metrics International (GMI), an independent corporate governance research and rating agency. "We are very proud that GMI has recognized our governance practices as setting the highest standard and are a leader among most other companies," Raj Gupta, Chairman, CEO and President, Rohm and Haas Company, said. "This honor is a tribute to the untiring labor invested by our company leadership who set and adhere to rigorous and ethical business standards for the benefit of our key stakeholders: shareholders, customers, employees, and community." Each GMI rating report includes a summary of the company's overall governance profile and commentary on each of the six research categories employed by GMI: Board Accountability, Financial Disclosure and Internal Controls, Shareholder Rights, Executive Compensation, Market for Control and Ownership Base, Corporate Behavior and CSR Issues.
