Agilent Technologies appoints Naveen Bhat vice president and general manager of OSS business in Asia-Pacific
Agilent Technologies Inc. announced it has named Naveen Bhat as vice president and general manager of its OSS business in the Asia-Pacific region.
Bhat was most recently the director of Lucent Technologies' OSS business in Asia-Pacific. He has worked extensively with service providers in the region, covering wireline, wireless and data technologies. Bhat has been an active participant in the TeleManagement Forum (TMF), working with various service providers on eTOM and NGOSS implementations. Bhat is based in Singapore and reports to Alan Grahame, vice president of Agilent's OSS worldwide customer operations.
Before Lucent, Bhat spent 14 years in the United States working for Texaco and Pavilion Technologies. At Pavilion he was responsible for several areas of the business related to improving manufacturing efficiency through automation and control. As director of Asia-Pacific, he was responsible for starting the Asia-Pacific division of Pavilion and establishing and running a branch office in Japan, with a network of partners across Korea, Taiwan, China, India and Singapore.
Bhat received his Ph.D. in engineering from the University of Maryland and has been an adjunct faculty member at the Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University in Houston, Texas.
