EU Comission set fine on Kemira for breach of antitrust law

The European Commission has set a fine of EUR 33 million on Kemira Oyj for antitrust activity in the company's hydrogen peroxide business. Kemira Oyj has been in breach of the antitrust law in hydrogen peroxide business from 1994 to 2000 according to the decision made by the European Commission. Kemira told about a Statement of Objections in the matter on January 31, 2005. The company will look into the Commission's decision and then decide on any further action. Provisions made by the company will cover for the fine set by the Commission.
