BASF increases prices for neopentylglycol

19-Jun-2007

Effective immediately or as existing contracts permit, BASF is raising its prices for neopentylglycol (NPG) in Europe, Africa and Middle East by 80 euros per metric ton. The price adjustment takes account of increased operating and logistics costs.

NPG is used as a building block in powder coating resins as well as solvent-free and high-solids liquid coatings, unsaturated polyester resins and synthetic lubricants.
