Sasol raises LAB prices due to high costs and market requirements
Effective from 1 January 2008, Sasol will raise prices of Linear Alkylbenzene (LAB) by around 250 US$/ton in all markets.
"The increase is due to global demand outstripping the supply of LAB, as well as eroded margins caused by significant increases and volatility in raw material and energy costs," says Guido Safran, vice president at the Sasol Olefins & Surfactants (O&S) Alkylates & Surfactants business unit.
