• Foam Rubber O-Ring made from CR: Chloroprene rubber (Neoprene®) with Shore hardness A 15°, operating temperature -25°C to +80°C, mineral oil resistant
• Foam Rubber O-Ring made from EPDM: Ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (Keltan®) with Shore hardness A 20°, operating temperature -40°C to +125°C, extremely weather resistant
• Foam Rubber O-Ring made from FPM: Fluorocarbon rubber (Viton®) with Shore hardness A 30°, operating temperature -20°C to +200°C (short-term +280°C), high temperature resistant
• Foam Rubber O-Ring made from Silicone: Shore hardness A 15°, operating temperature -50°C to +200°C, dielectric properties
• Foam Rubber O-Ring made from TPE - Food Grade: FDA/BfR-compliant thermoplastic elastomers with Shore hardness A 25°, operating temperature -50°C to +95°C

Technical Properties and Application Areas

The O-rings are characterized by their closed-cell structure, which ensures excellent gas tightness. CR variants offer excellent ozone and weather resistance as well as resistance to diluted acids and alkalis. EPDM versions excel with high tear strength and extreme weather resistance. FPM cords are ideal for high-temperature applications and show excellent resistance to fuels, greases, and chlorinated solvents.

Silicone O-rings are particularly suitable for applications with high dielectric requirements and extreme temperature stress. TPE variants meet the strict requirements of the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology, and food technology according to the European Pharmacopoeia.

Dimensions range from 2 mm to 20 mm diameter, providing diverse application possibilities in mechanical engineering, process engineering, chemical technology, and medical technology. The high permanent elasticity and flexibility even during repeated hot-cold cycles makes these sealing elements reliable components for critical sealing tasks.
