RCT Reichelt Chemietechnik
Plastic Strainers for Reliable Plant Protection in Process Engineering
RCT Reichelt Chemietechnik GmbH + Co.
Plastic strainers provide reliable protection for sensitive equipment, plants and fittings in process engineering, chemical technology and water treatment. These filter components, designed as Y-strainer valves, prevent contaminants from entering operating systems and protect against costly process disruptions.
Filtration is achieved through built-in filter elements with defined pore sizes that remove particles of different sizes from inorganic and organic media. Depending on the application, three proven plastic materials are available: Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) for highest chemical resistance up to +100°C, Polypropylene (PP) for universal applications up to +90°C and rigid PVC (PVC-U) for acid and alkali resistant processes up to +60°C.
The product range includes various connection types and nominal diameters from 15 to 40 mm:
- PP strainers - with welding socket
- PP strainers - with threaded connection
- PVC-U strainers - with solvent socket
- PVC-U strainers - with threaded connection
- PVC-U strainers - transparent
- PVDF strainers - with welding socket
- PVDF strainers - with threaded connection
Material selection depends on the conveyed medium: PVC-U is suitable for acids, alkalis and salt solutions as well as chlorinated hydrocarbons. PP shows excellent resistance to acids, alkalis and most organic solvents. PVDF offers maximum resistance against aliphatic and aromatic chlorinated hydrocarbons, halogens and alcohols.
Strainers and other products, such as filter housings, filter cartridges, filter elements and filter modules, are available directly in the online shop of RCT Reichelt Chemietechnik. The range of RCT Reichelt Chemietechnik offers over 80,000 different products, which are used among others in mechanical engineering, chemical technology, process engineering as well as medical technology.
