MiniPlane II - Diamantmesser

S.T.Japan-Europe presents the MiniPlane II, the new generation of hand-held diamond knives designed for micrometer-precise surface sectioning in materials and surface analytics. The system enables controlled, consistent and reproducible cuts for targeted sample preparation – easy to operate by hand while delivering high precision.

Thanks to its innovative cutting head with a flat-mounted diamond blade, the MiniPlane II allows defined layer removal from coatings, polymers, rubber, paper and even hair samples up to 25 µm. Because the blade remains flat on the sample surface, only the desired layer is removed while the underlying substrate is minimally affected. This results in clean, reproducible cuts and an excellent basis for microscopy, spectroscopy and other analytical methods.

A key feature is the integrated 4x magnifier, which enables real-time observation of the cutting process and precise control of the working area. For challenging lighting conditions or dark samples, the MiniPlane II is also available in a version with integrated LED illumination, ensuring optimal visibility of the cutting zone even in low light environments.

In addition, the adjustable cutting depth supports serial cuts with consistent thickness. The ergonomic handle provides safe and comfortable handling in everyday lab work. Exchangeable diamond blades make the system durable, cost-efficient and suitable for long-term use.
