Combine size and charge analysis for robust analytical results

The reliable characterization of dispersions, emulsions, and colloids requires more than just one characteristic. Only a combination of particle size and zeta potential allows a well-founded assessment of the stability, agglomeration behavior, and formulation quality. Here you need the DUO.

The system combines two complementary measurements: a high-resolution particle size analysis with dynamic light scattering and a precise measurement of zeta and streaming potential with integrated titration. Critical stability thresholds can be detected early, well before visible coagulation or sedimentation.

A special advantage is the measurement in native concentration. Highly concentrated, strong scattering, or colored samples can be measured without dilution. Effectively reducing sample preparation effort, reducing preparation-induced errors, and delivering results that represent the real sample. Fast measurement times, of a few minutes allows high sample throughput.

The combination of both methods on the same samples allows a direct correlation between size changes and surface charge, for example, during a pH, salt, or polyelectrolyte titration. The combination makes the onset of agglomeration visible long before reaching the isoelectrical point. Customers can gain important information on how to optimize formulation, choose additives, and control processes.
