The Klöckner Pentaplast Group announced that it has added new polyester production capacity at the company’s Rural Retreat, Virginia, manufacturing facility. The new line will increase capacity for high-performance polyester films to support growth in full-body shrink-label, general-purpose thermoforming, medical device, and all-plastic box packaging applications. Klöckner Pentaplast invested $4.9 Mio USD (€3.6 Mio) for the expansion.
“This polyester capacity expansion will enable us to continue to support our customers’ growing global demand for high-quality polyester packaging films, especially in the US,” notes Michael Tubridy, president and COO, Klöckner Pentaplast/Americas. “In addition, the added capacity will allow us to further enhance new product development capabilities.”
