Gardner Denver, Inc. Acquires ILMVAC GmbH

Gardner Denver, Inc. announced that it has acquired ILMVAC GmbH, located in Ilmenau, Germany. ILMVAC, a leading European provider of vacuum pumps, systems and accessories for research and development laboratories and industrial applications, generated sales of EUR 9.4 million, or approximately $11.6 million, in the year ended December 31, 2009.
"ILMVAC has technical expertise in applying existing vacuum technology for lab applications tailored, in particular, to the European marketplace," said Barry L. Pennypacker, President and Chief Executive Officer of Gardner Denver. "We believe the addition of the ILMVAC product lines and distribution channels to Gardner Denver will strengthen our global position in the lab and life science market segment, served today through our Welch brand that is primarily sold in North America."
