New Managing Director at trans-o-flex: Oliver Rupps succeeds Wolfgang Weber
Oliver Rupps (48) will join the trans-o-flex logistics Group as spokesman of the board of Managing Directors and is responsible for Operations and IT effective 1st December 2011. He succeeds Wolfgang Weber, who will leave the company at the end of the year.
After studying business administration at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar near Koblenz, the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Lyon, France and Texas A&M University, USA, he worked in various management positions in the fields of material procurement, logistics and corporate planning at Mercedes Benz AG and DaimlerChrysler AG.He subsequently served on the Management Board of the IT provider ilas AG, as Chairman of the Board of Erwin Steinle Internationale Spedition GmbH & Co. KG and as Managing Director of the automobile component supplier ixetic GmbH. Rupps was most recently the sole Managing Director of Südmo Holding GmbH in Riesbürg, which, among other things, produces components and equipment for the pharmaceutical industry.
The board of directors of the Weinheimer logistics service provider will continue to include Kai Schmuck (51) and Ulrich Schupp (45). The contract of Schmuck has recently been renewed. He will stay responsible for Marketing and Sales. Schupp is responsible as managing director for the area of Finance since April 2011.
