Bilfinger Industrial Technologies subsidiary Bilfinger Rohrleitungsbau GmbH, which is located in Bitterfeld, Germany, obtained two orders from the chemical industry with a total volume of about €17 million.
The company has assumed responsibility for the pre-fabrication and assembly of piping systems including associated insulation, corrosion protection, scaffolding and equipment installation for BASF Schwarzheide GmbH. Pre-fabrication began in May 2013 and assembly work is scheduled to start in July.
Bilfinger Rohrleitungsbau has been commissioned with pre-fabrication and assembly of piping systems as well as equipment assembly between May and November of this year at the Industriepark Höchst location for AkzoNobel Industrial Chemicals.
"We are pursuing long-term partnerships with our clients. It is therefore all the more pleasing that BASF and AkzoNobel, two longstanding clients of Bilfinger, once again rely on our competence and execution capabilities of extensive projects in the area of piping systems", says Gerhard Schmidt, Chief Executive Officer of Bilfinger Industrial Technologies.
