Rohm and Haas Announces Price Increase for Adhesives Based on Acrylic Emulsions in North America

Rohm and Haas, adhesives and sealants business has announced a price increase for adhesives based on acrylic emulsions sold to the adhesives, construction, pressure sensitive, transportation, packaging, laminating and building products industries in North America. The increase, which ranges from 6 to 8 percent, per wet pound, will take effect January 1, 2003 or as contracts allow.
The increase is needed to cover higher energy, raw material and freight costs, as well as the continuing cost pressures related to health insurance, security, and regulatory compliance.
