The Henkel Group, Düsseldorf, and RWE Com, Essen have founded a new joint venture. tenDE - as the new enterprise is called - is the first company in Germany to offer professional and personalized lifestyle management by telephone and via the Internet. The third joint venture partner is tenUK, a company that has successfully operated in this sector in Great Britain since 1998. For the nationwide expansion in Germany of tenDE, headquartered in Berlin, the two companies have provided several million euros. Help for stressed professionals The services provided by tenDE are directed mainly at busy professionals who have little time to spare for their personal daily chores. Tailor-made service packages are available for both private individuals and corporate clients. For the latter, the services provided by tenDE can be employed, for instance, as motivation or a bonus for employees. The nationwide service will be launched in the coming weeks and will be tested in a "friendly user phase." The first users can register for this as of July.

Tailor-made range of services tenDE's aim is to make its clients lives easier, to optimize their leisure time, and especially to relieve them of daily chores like shopping, repairs, building conversion projects or real-estate management, and much more. The company offers individual client account management and skillful networking with reputable service providers. Registered clients are assigned their own personal lifestyle manager. tenDE supervises the performance of assignments and thus ensures that a high standard of service is maintained. Another core competency of tenDE is in the entertainment sector. It offers attractive proposals for leisure activities, such as travel, organizing theatre tickets, and a party planning service for special occasions. Alongside the existing service network in Great Britain, Europe-wide expansion is planned in order to offer corporate clients and their employees additional international support. "Henkel's participation in tenDE is an innovative move into the service sector by increasingly using internet technologies. After extensive market research we found the ideal partner in tenUK to help us make a quick and competent start in this new segment," explains Ralf Heine, e-Business Director at Henkel.

Engelbert Halm, Co-Managing Director at RWE Com, sees a wide market for professional lifestyle management: "The intention in founding tenDE reflects RWE's multi utility approach in providing essential basic services from a single source. I am convinced that we have found the ideal partner in tenUK to establish this exciting new line of business in Germany and all over Europe. RWE will profit very much from the experience in one-to-one marketing."
