Air Liquide reinforces its position in Germany

08-Dec-2004

Air Liquide announces that it will expand its highly efficient air gas production at its Oberhausen site in the Rhine-Ruhr region, Germany, to meet the fast growing needs of its customers. This expansion will increase the production capacity for liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen by 100,000 tonnes per year from early 2006. At that time, the total production at Oberhausen will be about 280,000 tonnes per year.

Today Air Liquide operates six air separation units in the heart of the Rhine-Ruhr basin, one of the biggest production areas for technical gases in Europe. Its present capacity exceeds 4 million tonnes of air gases per year.
