Dow Increases Caustic Soda Prices
Effective immediately, or as contract terms allow, The Dow Chemical Company is increasing the U.S. off-list selling prices of both diaphragm and membrane grades of caustic soda 50% solution (basis 76% Na2O) by $40.00/DST.
Dow implemented a $75.00/DST TVA (Temporary Voluntary Allowance) as outlined in a March 24, 2003, letter to customers that remains in effect and can be removed at anytime.
The order control program which Dow announced on May 6, 2004, will remain in effect until further notice for caustic soda customers in the U.S. Except as specific contract terms permit, this order control program is based on customers' previous 13 months rolling purchase average.
