Brenntag Química further strengthening food ingredients business on the Iberian Peninsula

With retroactive effect to January 01, 2005, Brenntag Química S.A., Spain, member of Brenntag Group, has acquired Especialidades Puma S.A. (Barcelona), distributor of food additives and ingredients in Spain. The acquisition includes a logistics facility at Sant Andreu de la Barca near Barcelona. The takeover strengthens Brenntag Química's regional presence in Spain and enhances its market position in the distribution of food ingredients, especially in the area of sweeteners and thickeners.
