Linde secures contract for the supply of five hydrogen plants in India

Linde has been awarded a contract by Indian Reliance Industries Limited for the supply of five hydrogen units for the refinery site at Jamnagar, Gujarat. The total order value amounts to around 175 million US dollars.

The first of the new hydrogen units is scheduled to be on stream in the first quarter of 2007. Together with two plants already in operation, the local production capacity will be increased to almost 600,000 cubic meters of hydrogen.

Linde will perform the basic and detail engineering, the supply of equipment and materials, assistance for erection and supervision of commissioning as well as the training of the Reliance´s personnel. Linde Process Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. will play a major role in the execution of this project. A wide range of feedstocks shall be processed, from natural gas to refinery offgas, LPG and Naphtha.
