Thermo Receives Customer Service Award for Its Support of Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. Following Hurricane Katrina
Thermo Electron Corporation announced that it received a customer service award from Air Products and chemicals, Inc. The award, presented to Thermo Electron by Bruce Krell, senior research specialist for Air Products, recognizes Thermo's exceptional support and dedication during Air Products' restoration efforts after the destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina.
After the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina to Air Products' New Orleans plant, Thermo quickly helped the company replace the essential equipment it needed to resume operations. On an accelerated timetable, Thermo built a three-rack Pulsar EX CO2 Quality Assurance System used to measure impurities in beverage grade CO2 and retrofitted a Total Sulfur analytical bench in the field to comply with Air Products' analysis requirements. Despite a tight deadline, the recovery project was completed quickly, enabling Air Products' New Orleans plant to get back online in record time.
